Anniversary/New Year's Eve

Keith and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary on New Year's eve. My mom babysat for us and we went to Pluckers to watch the A&M bowl game. I'm not ashamed to admit that wings and beer are a couple of my very favorite things. We had a great dinner but the Aggies were losing pretty bad. We decided to head over to Preston and Sarah's house for their New YEar's eve Party. They had just gotten a fire pit for Christmas. We enjoyed relaxing outside by the fire. Amazingly enough the Aggies had a huge comeback in the second half and ended up winning the game. Keith stayed up until 2 AM watching the whole game that he had recorded. I enjoyed the dark chocolate covered strawberries that he made for me too! We enjoyed a great 2013 and cannot wait for the exciting things in store for 2014.

After Christmas in Dallas with McSpaddens

We headed up to Dallas on December 26th to spend a few days with Keith's family. We had a great time playing games/puzzles, visiting with cousins and of course eating. Papa put the kids to work unloading all of his firewood. The girls were so cute carrying their logs. They were proud to be helping Papa. After that job they piled up the leaves and Papa threw them on top of the pile. Twyla got the girls matching Aggie dresses and real cowboy boots. She also made them cute western outfits. We got to spend one evening at Nee Naw's house. We really enjoyed visiting with her. I had to include this picture of Annabelle at a Mexican food restaurant in Dallas. She ate an entire bowl of salsa all by herself, using only about 4 chips. She was practically drinking it. We really missed Josh and Steph this year but are excited to see them in May for the beach trip.

Christmas Day

We stayed in Austin for Christmas Day this year. We had a wonderful morning of opening presents and playing. Brooke and Annabelle loved their play kitchen from Santa. Brooke's overall favorite present was her pop-beads. I think she was most excited because her cousins were getting them too. She has played with them every day since Christmas. Keith and I made a nice lunch for our family. We got a honeybaked ham. (i stood in line with our neighbor Jill for 30 minutes to get it) Keith made bacon mashed potatoes. I made broccoli salad and Grammy made baked beans. We had a nice relaxing Christmas day lunch. We spent the rest of the day playing, watching movies and eating. It was really nice not to be rushing anywhere. The girls loved being at home and getting to play with all their new toys.
