carving pumpkins

Our friends Sarah and Preston came over on Friday to have dinner and carve pumpkins. It is great to have them over to eat because they will try anything. This time we had seafood pot pie. It was pretty delicious! After the dinner we all helped to carve a pumpkin. Brooke was a little timid with scooping the seeds inside; but she loved helping with the face. It turned out to be a pretty great pumpkin. We are very thankful to have Preston and Sarah as friends.

this sweet girl

Annabelle is such a sweet girl. She loves to snuggle and read books. She is now saying words like Apple, Brooke, Aggie, Please, Yes Mam, and Grammy. she also loves to accessorize. She requests her necklace and purse on most days. The also says bow and points to her hair. She doesn't have very much hair; but we can get a pretty cute little Pebbles pony tail at the top. She is quite a mama's girl; especially with all her molars coming in. I'm happy to say that she loves to be in the nursery at church. She loves to be outside on the swingset and dancing to any kind of music. Here is a picture of her saying cheese.

Brooke's School Work and school pictures

Here are a few of the projects Brooke has been bringing home from school. She also had school pictures taken recently. They were not the greatest, but I always think she is cute.

Thumbguard

We started Brooke on a thumbguard to wear for 6 weeks. This will keep her from sucking her thumb. She wears it all the time; unless she is in the bath/shower. She gets to pick a new band every day with a bright color. So far the only thing suffering is the length of her nap and the time she will stay in bed during the morning. She has done really well with it the first week. I will be thrilled if the thumb sucking is completely done by Thanksgiving!

Building a Fort

The girls worked together to make their first very small fort in Brooke's room last week. They had so much fun hiding behind the pillows and shining the flashlight. I pretended that I couldn't see them and tried to find them. They have the best time. Yay for imaginations!!
