Brooke 4 months

4 month pictures with the horse!
She enjoys being on her tummy now.

She is such a happy baby. Now that we are feeding her more she is all smiles. Look at that chubby tummy!!

We took this video of Brooke splashing in the tub. She has recently learned to kick her legs. The video is a little fuzzy but she is super cute!!

We took Brooke to the doctor last week for her 4 month checkup. She now weighs 13 lbs and 10oz. She is 24 and 1/4 inches long. The doctor said she is in the 45% for weight, the 60% for height and the 20% for head circumference. I guess she'll be wearing little hats. We have always enjoyed our sweet baby, but I have to say that she is getting more fun every day. She is much more interactive and playful at this stage. We took her 4 month pictures in this dress because she had never worn it and it is almost too small. She should have been in something with long sleeves because it is cold here; but it is okay since she's inside. Plus she matches the horse, ha! Brooke did not like getting shots at her doctor visit but she is a LOT tougher than her mom. She has laughing and playing within a few minutes.
Brooke had a lot going on this month. Here are some of the highlights:
*She took her first plane ride
*She splashed in the tub
*She can hold her bottle
*She is all about the food. If she sees a bottle, she will yell until she gets it. THis could be a bad sign.
*She talks to her monkey mirror in the car
*She took her first road trip to visit Ryan and Kelly in DC.
*She poops every day.
*She moved up to 6oz each feeding.
*She does NOT like rice cereal. We tried to feed her and she spit it all back out.
**She loves to be held and loves people. She really lights up when her Grams and Grammy hold her.

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We took a trip to the pumpkin patch again this year. Brooke was just a tiny peanut in my tummy when Keith and I went last year. The weather was beautiful. All the leaves are turing red, yellow and orange. We actually had our same crew of podiatry friends with us again. The Hecks and Stasko's were at the pumpkin patch with us last year too. Brooke did really well and seemed to enjoy being outside. We propped her up in the middle of a few pumpkins for these pictures. Lindsey and Pete's little guy Christian was also loving the time outdoors. He was so sweet to hold Brooke's hand in their picture. IT is crazy to think that we only have one more October here in Pittsburgh before we move to Texas. Happy Fall!!

Visit from Grammy

We were so blessed to have my mom visit us in Pittsburgh for the last two weeks. She was such a help with Brooke and great company for me. We had tons of fun eating at Pamela's, shopping, and traveling to DC. Grammy's camera ran low on battery so we didn't get too many pictures. Brooke loved all her extra play time and snuggle time with Grammy while I worked. We really wish that she lived nearby. Thank goodness she will be back in just 10 weeks.

Trip to Visit Ryan and Kelly in DC

Ryan and Kelly with Brooke at their Condo
Brooke playing on Keith's tummy. She's wearing a shirt that says Daddy's little pumpkin.

Grammy and Brooke in her "too cute to scare" shirt.

Keith asleep with Brooke's toys around his head. Further proof that he can fall asleep anywhere.

Ryan and the broken chair

Kelly, Ryan and Grammy with Brooke.

We took a trip this weekend to visit Ryan and Kelly at their condo in Fairfax, VA. It was exciting since we had never been to their place. We had a great time relaxing, playing games and watching football. We taught them how to play a new card game called hand and foot. Kelly was awesome at the game. Ryan had a little trouble focusing after he fell through one of their dining room chairs. We were just glad he wasn't hurt. ha! We went to a local sports bar to watch the Aggies take on Arkansas at Cowboy Stadium. The game was close, but the Aggies lost, boo... Brooke did great at the restaurant. SHe made is through the whole game without crying. On Sunday we went to their church and out to lunch with the Smith family. It was fun to see them again. After church we went shopping at the new Nordstrom Rack that opened within a mile of their condo. I am so jealous. I could have shopped for hours. We were sad to leave on Sunday before Ryan's softball game; but we had to get back to Pittsburgh so Keith could round super early on Monday morning. Thanks for a great weekend Ryan and Kelly!!
