Kim's Vegas Conference

I had another great Encompass Leadership Meeting in Vegas. This year we stayed at the Bellagio hotel. I flew in on Sunday and was able to spend a few hours with the Thomas family from Pittsburgh. They had been living in Las Vegas for about 9 months and were not loving it. Thankfully, Matthew got a great job offer from a practice in Colorado. They will be moving this summer. I enjoyed catching up with Jess and seeing how big their kids have gotten. I was sad that we only had a little time to visit. My Vegas roommate was Brittany again this year. I was so excited to catch up with her and hear all about her pregnancy with twins. We had a great time relaxing and talking. Brooke has been saying a prayer each night for Brittany and her babies. She was excited to see Brittany for the first time when I talked to her on face time. SHe kept asking to see mom's friend Brittany. As an added bonus, Rick Lytle was the guest speaker at the conference. I was thrilled to spend time with Rick and Hannah during the conference. We are hoping to see them more often now that we are back in Texas. Our awards banquet was tons of fun. The most exciting part was that my Austin offices won the award for best branch in the company. This is a HUGE honor!! They each got a beautiful award and a check for their offices. I enjoyed the conference but it was nice to come home to my sweet family. I missed seeing them every day!

teething

Can't you see all the drool coming down. Annabelle is the in the middle of teething. She's getting 2 new top teeth. Luckly the ibuprofen helps her to sleep through the night.

Happy Valentines Day

We had a great Valentines Day this year. It was fun to see Brooke get so excited to pass out Valentines at her school. They made a special Valentine box for each kid in her class to hold all the valentines. She went through that box about 10 times that day. She knew who each Valentine was from. I woke up surprised to find flowers from Keith on Valentines morning. He had just gotten back from his Podiatry conference the night before. I also got a very sweet card. We enjoyed a pre-valentines dinner the Saturday before at this awesome restaurant called Soelil. It is located on lake Travis. They had the best scallops and a live Jazz band. This was the first time we took Annabelle and Brooke to kids night at her school. We enjoyed a 2 hour dinner with no kids. Brooke and Annabelle got sweet outfits and heart purses from Nanny Val. Isn't she thoughtful. Brooke told all her friends at school that she got a Valentine from her Grammy in the mail. She was very proud. I loved the Valentine crafts she made at her school too. We got the girls cards and a kickboard for Brooke to practice her swimming. Our last fun Valentine item was the delivery of my piano from Arizona. We are so thrilled to have it in our house. Keith and I were fighting over who could play it for the first week after it was delivered. I am glad that both of us can play.

School work

Playing outside

There are a ton of kids on our street. Brooke loves to play with the powerwheel cars, even though it scares her a little bit. It is funny to watch her try and steer. She usually ends up in a bush. here are the girls doing bubbles again on the porch. Brooke is so sweet with Annabelle. She tries to help her catch the bubbles. These girls love to swing. I take them to a park right by my mom's new house. They could swing for hours if I'd let them. We enjoyed watching the superbowl this year at our neighbor's house. Jill and Lee had a small group of people over for the game. We brought the girls with us for the first half. When the power went out, we took them across the street and put them to bed. We could take our baby monitor back over and watch the rest of the game. How about that for long range baby monitor!! No need to hire a babysitter. We were cheering for San Francisco and even though the lost it was a fun game. \

Annabelle 9 Months

Annabelle's 9 month pictures are very telling; she is a happy baby! We had her checkup for 9 months and she is 40% category for weight and the 80% category for height. She weighs 18 1/2 pounds and she is 29 inches long. She is wearing 9-12 month clothing and a size 3 diaper. She is loving all her new foods; especially sweet potatoes and zuchini. She is saying mama now. The first time she said it was during our weekend to Dallas for Lauren's birthday. She is still not interested in crawling or pulling up. She is quite content to watch Brooke.
