Brooke's good girl chart

We decided to make a good behavior chart for Brooke recently after some very bad behavior. My mom put together the chart and I bought a very special set of bath toy disney princesses. We told Brooke that she could earn a sticker anytime for listening, following directions the first time and good behavior. Every 15 stickers she could pick our a princess doll. So far this is working great! She is almost to her second princess and the sassy behavior has stopped.

It has been pretty hot this summer. Most of our time outside is spent at the pool. Occasionally the girls like to ride bikes and scooters in the front yard.

Trip to Chick-Fil-A with daddy

My mom and I went to a women's expo at the hospital on august 10th. Keith took the girls to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. They were so cute sharing an ice cream. My mom ended up winning a $1700 spa package from one of the vendors. Too bad it was for a non-surgical type of lyposuction. SHe didn't really qualify; seeing that her body fat is so low! I did win a $40 massage from the same place. I'm definitely going to be using that. Earlier that morning we re-homed our dogs Mason and Jackson. I found a family on Craigslist that lived local and wanted to adopt them both. It was very hard on Keith to let them go; but he knows they will be happier with a family that has time to spend with them. The new owners have sent me several pictures and the boys look like they are in great hands!

Trip to the Waco Zoo

I thought it would be a great idea to take the girls to the Waco zoo when we picked up Brooke from Gram's camp. Well, the zoo was so hot that all the animals were in hiding. Thank goodness for the small splash and slide area. I brought their swimsuits so they could get soaking wet. Grammy had the idea to carry water up to the slide and pour it down. The now slippery slide was so fast that I had to catch the kids as they shot out of the bottom. It was pretty fun but I was glad to get back to our house and out of the heat. The best animals to see at the zoo were the fish inside the air-conditioned aquarium.

Brooke's school work
