Trip to the BEACH!!

On Thursday May 17th we loaded up the car and drove 4 hours to the beach at Galveston. Shevawn had done her research and found us a house that slept 10 right on a private stretch of the beach. I cannot tell you how much everyone enjoyed this trip. The girls had fun playing in the sand, "riding" the waves, playing on the deck, playing games inside and having movie nights. We were actually able to relax and enjoy some sun on the beach while they played. At night we could play games on the patio after they went to bed. Each family took one dinner so we didn't have to go out for any meals. It was fun to cook for everyone. We bought some fresh shrimp that were caught locally. The girls did so well together, there was hardly any fighting and more importantly, no sunburns. Brooke did some pretty bad blisters on her feet from her water shoes, but other than that we had no injuries. I think my favorite part of the beach house was the outdoor shower. It was so nice to take a hot shower outside with the breeze and hear the ocean. We loved spending time with Keith's family too!! I think this needs to be an annual trip for the McSpadden family.
