Everyone is sick

It was a rough time at the end of January in our house. Brooke got a "blemish" on her cheek that turned out to be quite an issue. It swelled up and bruised before we finally decided to try and pop it. Luckily we waited to pop it when she was in the bath tub. There was so much pressure built up underneath that blood sprayed out. Then the whole thing dried up like a big raisin on her face. I ended up taking her to the doctor just to be safe and they put her on antibiotics; just in case it was an infection of some kind. On top of all that, Keith and I both got sick. He had some kind of a virus that really hit him hard. He missed 4 days of work and spent most of that time in bed with a fever and chills. I had a cold that turned into a sinus infection and ear infection. I couldn't remember when I've had an ear infection before. It made me feel so much sympathy for all those kids that get them frequently. Luckily my OB called in some Amoxicillin and I started feeling better within a week. We are very thankful that Brooke did not catch either of our sicknesses. She still has a bruise that is fading on her face from that spot, poor thing.
