Trip to Sea World

We decided to take Brooke on a trip to Sea World for her birthday. Keith and I took the day off work so we could avoid the weekend crowds. We talked up the trip for weeks, and even showed Brooke a you tube video of Shamu. On the day of the trip we left Austin about 7 AM. We stopped and had breakfast at Chick-Fil-A in San Marcos. Annabelle was even able to play in the play center there. We got to the park right as they were opening at 10. The lines were not long at all and after we cleared the gates we headed to the Shamu show. It was a great show. Brooke even got to take her picture with the trainers. After Shamu we walked to the Sesame Street area. We were just in time for Brooke to see all of the characters; including her favorite Elmo. She also got to ride real rides in the Sesame Street land. After about 3 rides, it started to rain. They shut all the rides down so we headed to the Penguin exhibit. We stayed there for over 2 hours waiting for the rain to stop. Finally we decided to call it a day. The park gave us passes to come back on another day. We are hoping to come back later this summer with another family from church.

Gun Class for Kim

One of my friends from church asked me to go to a basics gun class with her in Georgetown. I was actually quite excited about it because she was a beginner too. We learned a TON about gun; including form, how to load bullets and improve our aim. It was nice to get time at the shooting range with an instructor. My friend was a WAY better shot than me; but I could still take down the bad guy!

Baby Shower for Aunt Stephanie

Annabelle and I were thrilled to attend Stephanie's baby shower in Dallas on June 1st. We hadn't seen her since their visit to Dallas in January. Stephanie is one of those pregnant people that never really look pregnant anywhere besides their belly. She was super cute for her shower! Everyone was excited to "shower" her with gifts for baby Hannah. We purchased a photo family session with a local photographer in Toldeo. Steph said that she and Josh had not taken an official family photo since their wedding. Annabelle had a great time crawling everywhere and smiling at all the guests. After the shower we went to dinner with Keith's parents and Mark. Annabelle and I made the 3 hour trek home after dinner so we could spend Sunday with Nate, April, and Harper.

School Art

Brooke has officially graduated from Early Preschool 2 to Preschool. She came home with a huge folder full of artwork last week. You can tell she is very proud of her creations.
