Sweet Sisters

Brooke loves playing with Annabelle on our bed. She wants to be a helper to get diapers, bibs, and toys are Annabelle. Annebelle loves to look at Brooke and "talk" with her. They are so cute together.

School Spirit Day

Friday's at Brooke's preschool are school spirit days. Brooke loves to dress up and support her Texas A&M Aggies. She will yell Gig'Em Aggies when we watch the games. It is cute to see all the kids dressed up at her school.

Annabelle 4 months

I had a great time taking pictures of Annabelle at 4 months. She is such a smiley baby. She started teething this month and has been quite fussy at night, but during the day she is so happy. She is wearing 6 month clothing and 9 month pajamas. She sleeps through the night and eats every 3 hours during the day. She loves to be held and loves her car seat. She cannot get enough of her big sister Brooke. She is a thumb sucker just like her sister. She loves bathtime and tummy time on her activity mat. She weighs just over 13 pounds.

Cooking with Daddy

Brooke loves to cook with Keith and I. We have been doing a lot of grilling this summer. Keith let Brooke help him get the vegetables covered in olive oil and seasoning. She loved helping him mix!

1st A&M Game

We were very excited to celebrate the first Aggie home game in the SEC conference. They were playing the Florida Gators, so Keith bought Gator tail to cook at the tailgate. It was really nice to live only 2 hours from college station. We drove over in the morning, enjoyed a delicious tailgate with Grams and Poppa, and then watched the Aggies almost win the game. Brooke loved going potty in Poppa's camper. The flush is a foot flush for their potty. We had to keep her out of the bathroom because she wanted to keep flushing it. Twyla watched the girls while I went to the first half of the game and then I came back so she could go to the second half of the game. We could drive back to our house after the game and sleep in our own beds. Annabelle just started teething this week so we weren't really getting much sleep.

3 Day Potty Train

After much consideration, I decided to use the 3-day potty training method for Brooke. We started talking to Brooke several weeks ahead of time about how exciting it will be to wear big girl panties and use the potty. I ordered a special little travel potty for her to learn on. We did the 3-day method over Labor Day weekend. Keith drove Annabel up to his parents house in Dallas so I would have dedicated time with Brooke. When she woke up on that Saturday morning we threw her diapers in the trash and had a potty party. I got her a special cupcake to celebrate learning to use the potty. I also put a huge chart on the door where she put stickers on each time she went pee/poo on her big girl potty. On Saturday morning she peed through 7 pairs of panties before going pee on the potty. She was so proud of herself when she finally got it. She did so well on Sunday and monday; only 1 or two accidents. She had a little bit of difficulty trying to poop on the potty. She had some success during the weekend, but we are still working to master it. I was so proud that she could even keep her panties dry during naptime and overnight. I would definitely recommend the 3-day potty train method to anyone. Yay for only 1 kid in diapers.

Biggest Steak Ever

We went to dinner with the Hursts to celebrate Keith working with Wayne. Keith ordered a Texas sized steak called the Tomohawk. I was shocked when they brought it out to our table. Here is a picture of what was leftover after dinner. Can you believe how much is still on the bone? We enjoyed our special dinner with the Hursts and are so glad that Keith is working with Wayne.
